PVE Cranes & Services lifting and foundation equipment worldwide

The project will reduce natural gas flaring and greenhouse gas emissions from offshore oil producing areas, facilitate continued offshore oil field development, and contribute to the development of a future natural gas-based industry within Angola. Bechtel’s engineering, procurement, and construction contract covers the onshore portion of this project. 

In this construction work Bechtel is using a brand new 600tonnes Demag CC2800 with luffing jib and super lift from the fleet of PVE Cranes & Services. The crawler crane was shipped in April 2008 to Soyo where a team of specialists built up the machine for the start of the LNG Project for Bechtel.

The first LNG from the project is expected to be delivered early 2012, to the US & Atlantic markets.
